Is there anyway I can get the payment cancelled? I mistakenly put in the number to be charged.

You must get in touch with Orange Customer Service through the chat function available in the My Orange mobile app. They will be able to assist you. Ask to be transferred to a human operator. Please note that the chat is not in real time, but you will receive a response based on your request. Alternatively, you can call 300 from an Orange number or +40 374 300 300 from any other network.

I understand that you use a Prepaid number (you used the word "recharge"). Usually, after the recharge, there are no refunds, especially when the recharge is made by a third party (like a self-pay station, a store, etc).
If the recharge is made with a direct option (e.g: 5E option), you have 24h to change the option to credit (money). I recommend to go to an Orange Store (even an Orange Shop) if you are close to one and ask them to help you.
